Sylvia Burnstein
For Sylvia, art is not only a hobby, but a way to express her inner thoughts
and emotions with colors and advocate for the vast abilities of individuals
living with autism.
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of three, Sylvia was always
creative but didn’t yet have an outlet to express it. Sylvia’s mom says, “When
she can't communicate with us, she can draw images to help us understand her
better.” Over time, art became her favorite language and way to focus.

MJ Cooper
As a child, MJ loved going to museums and practicing her creativity. However,
creating art became essential to her well-being when she became ill with viral
meningitis.
After experiencing a chronic vestibular migraine, MJ will often paint what she
saw when she closed her eyes during the episode, inviting the viewer to feel
what she felt, but also transforming that pain into beauty.

Mia Brown
Mia Brown's abstract paintings are characterized by dynamic color combinations
and varying textures, each alluding to the experimentation Mia allows in her
process.
Mia’s cerebral palsy impacts the use of her hands and over time, she has
developed a system that benefits her desire and dedication to create.
