JANSPORT® UNVEILS ITS FALL 2010 URBAN FRAMEWORK COLLECTION
Urban meets mountain. Urban meets mountain. The same bag that goes up Kilimanjaro now goes to Brooklyn and beyond.
San Leandro, Calif., (January 18, 2010) - JanSport, the original outdoor gear Brand that equips people globally with quality backpacks, travel gear and collegiate apparel, today unveils its new Fall 2010 Urban Framework collection.
Merging the classic styling of its outdoor day and hiking packs from the 60s, 70s and 80s with contemporary designs, fabrics and features, JanSport sets the framework for a homage to these popular originals in black poly denim fabric with TPE coating, along with brass zippers and logo plate for urban finesse.
Large Frame Pack
Not yo' mama's frame pack. JanSport gives this retro external frame pack a contemporary twist by adding an aluminum frame true to JanSport's original award-winning design. This bag has one large main compartment, as well as a removable frame to allow for flexibility on how it can be carried.
Small Frame Pack
Caught unframed. A smaller version of the Large Frame Pack, this new bag boasts similar features to its Large counterpart, including a removable aluminum frame with added retro flare. In addition, a top flap for the main pack compartment with vintage fly cord closure as well as two side and front drop-in pockets gives this pack a slimmer profile.
Ski & Hike
My, what a beautiful silhouette you have. JanSport's classic Ski & Hike from 1969 just got an update with new poly denim fabric with TPE coating that will protect your stuff all day long from the early morning walk to the subway into the late night hours.
Kegger
The coolest new old pack. Introduced in the late 70s, the Kegger was designed to carry your skis or any variety of other trail essentials (we do recommend more a portable beverage container these days). JanSport reincarnates a classic with the new Kegger, complete with one laptop-ready main compartment, easy-access front and side zip pockets, comfy padded shoulder straps and a leather bottom with matching leather lashing point details to ensure you arrive to the party looking sharp from head to toe.
Swinger
It's the name of the game. A 1989 original, this satchel was designed to swing around town- throw it over the handlebars of a bicycle or strap it over your shoulder, this small duffel-shaped bag is the perfect lightweight sack for strollin' through the city. Easy-access side stash pockets and seatbelt webbing shoulder straps will ensure this swinger isn't swingin' single.
Right Pack
The rebirth of an original. The iconic Right Pack is built for city living with one large main compartment for the "what have yous,'" a smaller front pocket for the "day-to-day essentials," and a quick front stash pocket for the "unmentionables".
