JanSport^® LAUNCHES LIMITED EDITION SOLE PACKS COLLECTION

A collection of bags designed with the sneakerhead in mind

 

JanSport, the original outdoor gear Brand that equips people globally with quality backpacks, travel gear and collegiate apparel, today unveiled its new Limited Edition Sole Packs Collection, launching Spring 2009.

Designed for the true 'sneakerhead', JanSport injects some sole into its classic backpack and messenger silhouettes by fusing a custom-made rubber-moulded shoe base onto the bottom of every bag in its new Sole Packs Collection. 

The JanSport Sole Packs Collection is comprised of two unique styles:

Sole Vert

This vertical messenger bag is inspired by 70s puffer jackets, complete with suede leather and nylon fabric, an adjustable seatbelt webbing shoulder strap, a leather lashing square pack closure, and of course, a water-resistant shoe sole inspired bag bottom. Did we mention the quilted laptop sleeve?

Sole Pack

JanSport takes its classic backpack and gives it a serious makeover by using nylon fabric and fusing it onto natural rubber-tinted cup soles. Pack details include a shoe lace spreader on the shoulder strap and an internal quilted laptop sleeve. If you haven't done any sole searching, now's the time.

"We're excited to offer a line of bags that truly immerse JanSport in the sneakerhead culture," said Eric Rothenhaus, director of research and design for JanSport. "The Sole Packs collection gives us a unique opportunity to be a pioneer in the use of the cup sole design process."

Look for the sole of JanSport's new pack collection at select retailers beginning May 2009.
