As They Travel the World For Free
Chris Danner and Lindsay Clark to Travel to 10 Countries in 11 Weeks with JanSport Gear
San Leandro, Calif. (June 2, 2009) - JanSport®, the original outdoor gear Brand that equips people globally with quality backpacks, travel gear and collegiate apparel, today announced its partnership with STA Travel, a global travel specialist with 30 years experience helping students, teachers and young professionals travel the world, to send two interns to travel the world for free, outfitted with JanSport luggage, packs and collegiate apparel.
Chris Danner and Lindsay Clark, the two students chosen from more than 700 applicants to be the world traveler interns for STA Travel, will depart on June 2 to spend three months this summer journeying to 10 countries in 11 weeks with travel adventures including volunteering in Fiji and spotting wildlife on a safari in Kenya and Tanzania to partying in Dubai and island hopping in Greece. "When I applied, I thought this internship sounded like the perfect fit for me and my interests. It was a dream come true, someone was paying for me to travel the world and blog about it," said Danner after being selected. "I've been fortunate enough to use travel to volunteer in Panama and Mexico in the past, so I am really excited about the volunteer experience in Fiji."
