| Other Info | The Bonfire Sessions are coming August 28th. This summer, JanSport presents the first installment of the Bonfire Sessions, a free concert series celebrating the epic memories that can only be made outdoors. Here’s how it works. The hidden location of the concert is kept secret until the day of the show. All August long, check in here at Unzipped, as well as Facebook and Twitter, to get clues about the band and where to hitch a ride on the 28th. We’re taking a mere two busloads of people, so you’ll want to stay on top of the bus stop spot (bus leaves at 6pm!). And get your best lining-up/dancing shoes on. The lucky handful will arrive to an intimate campfire concert with said radical band, beer, mallows, sparklers, singing, stars, barns, lights, darkness, meats and non-meats, boys and girls, bug bites, magic. |

We’re gearing up for South by Southwest this year with our friends at Sonicbids, Under the Radar and Vice Magazine to throw three parties in Austin. We’re also taking one of our favorite bands, The Broderick (our 2009 Battle of the Bands winner), on a mini-tour from Chicago to Austin.
JanSport invites all SXSW 2010 party-goers to view its Heritage Series and enjoy the best independent music, drinks and on-site promotions with giveaways from us.

After some much needed rest we woke up and headed directly to the Under The Radar SXSW showcase. We dropped a bunch of our CD’s off at the Jamsport table and were happy to see that they were all gone on our way out. Hopefully we won’t find the shelves of Austins goodwill stores stocked with them next time we are here.
We headed back to the hotel for another game of Marco Polo in the pool, some free drinks and a quick run through of tomorrow’s acoustic set. Phew.
In the evening we headed to an unofficial Bay Area music showcase to watch our friends the Splinters play. They were awesome.
Then it was back to the hotel for some more rest.
