With the new Deftones record. Anyone that grew up in the mid-90′s in the middle of the “nu-metal” explosion, back when people still bought CD’s by the truck load and MTV still played the occasional music video, certainly remembers the Deftones. They were the other band; the one that never achieved quite the level of mainstream success of bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, or Rage Against the Machine. But guess what? The Deftones are actually still around, and still kicking out great music that’s as relevant today as it was when the band released their debut, Adrenaline, in 1995.
