Check out this gem from the mid 70′s: That’s JanSport founders Skip Yowell and his cousin Murray Pletz showing off some of their latest gear, including the legendary D2 frame pack (which JanSport still makes to this day), JanSport’s line of down sleeping bags, and one of the earliest incarnations of the modern day dome tent. Before Skip and Murray designed their dome tents, the tents of the day were typically heavy canvas A- frames that were prone to leaks and collapses in heavy wind.
