We’re excited to announce that we’re bringing the JanSport Bonfire Sessions back for 2012 with more city stops and more bands! The third annual JanSport Bonfire Sessions is set to take place in five cities across North America. The idea is simple – a free outdoor concert featuring a locally adored band and the good vibes of a backyard bonfire. This year, the live performances will be captured on film for a new live music documentary series on Noisey.com, VICE’s online music channel. For [...] Read More >

The party is 3/16 at Maggie Mae’s on 6th Street in Austin, TX. You can RSVP here to make sure you’re one of the [...] Read More >
Every vote counts, so head over the the SF Deli and vote for Big Tree! If the group wins they get some free recording time which, as anyone that’s ever played in a band knows, is better than gold. Plus, recording time means new tunes for all of us! Speaking of new tunes, Daytrotter just posted a brand new session from Big Tree’s tour last fall that includes a new, previously unrecorded track called “Time”. Listen to it here. Read More >
Did anyone else see Bon Iver win the Grammy for Best New Artist last night? Pretty sweet for a midwestern guy without a major label production or promotion budget (Bon Iver is on Bloomington, Indiana’s Jagjaguwar.) The Arcade Fire winning last year’s album of the year was pretty sweet, but this is a whole new level of independent music achieving mainstream success and we couldn’t be happier about it. For any fans out there, watch Justin Vernon and the Roots turn his song ”Perth” [...] Read More >
